Running Windows 11?

We’re aware that a recent Windows 11 update (KB5066835) has caused issues with the Trading Paints downloader. This appears to be affecting some users’ ability to refresh paints in Paint Builder as well as refreshing paints when selected on the website.

Microsoft has recently released an update on November 11th (KB5068861) which should address this issue.

  1. On the affected device, open Settings and go to Windows Update.
  2. Select Start, type Check for updates, and Check for updates from the results.
  3. If updates are available, install them.
  4. Restart your device.

Sim Preview Not Working?

A recent Google Chrome update has introduced a feature that changes how Paint Builder and Trading Paints can communicate with the Trading Paints Downloader.

Note: Permissions between Paint Builder and Trading Paints are not shared and require updating separately.

Please review the Help section before reporting an issue. It is possible there may already be an answer to your issue.

Downloader issue?

⚠ We do not detect Trading Paints Downloader running on this computer.

If you are reporting a problem relating to the Trading Paints Downloader program, like paints not displaying in iRacing the way you expect, please attach a Downloader output file from the session where you believe there was an issue, explain what happened and what you expected to happen. Please review Help Center for Downloader first before reporting an issue.

To obtain an output file, select “Save Output” from the Advanced Options menu and attach the TP Output.txt output file saved to your Desktop.

Trading Paints cannot diagnose Downloader issues without an output file.
