Richard Petty 1969 East Tennessee Motors Ford

[Legacy] NASCAR Cup Ford Fusion - 2016 by Glenn FettyGlenn Fetty

About this paint

The Richard Petty 1969 East Tennessee Motors Ford in the Fusion body. 1969 was the only year The King drove a Ford in Cup. When Dodge announced the winged Charger Daytona, Richard, a long-time Plymouth driver, requested one, but Chrysler told him NO because he drove Plymouths. Richard switched to Ford and its sleek 1969 Torino Talladega; he quickly won his first race in a Ford, the February race at Riverside. He won ten races in 1969, including his 100th win, and finished second to David Pearson in the championship standings. Chrysler developed the 1970 Plymouth Superbird to get its star driver back, and Richard returned to Plymouth fold the next year. The #43 is Humanist font, right, and the HTML color codes are listed below. The wheel color is #003FA0 with a chrome finish. Enjoy, and let me know what you think. If you win a race with this paint, send me a picture!

30+ year racing fan who likes to mess around with paint schemes ... my favorites are the schemes from the 1960s, 1970s, and 1980s. I'd like to thank everyone who races/favorites my paints and follows me; your support is greatly appreciated! Note: Now that iRacing has released the Monster Energy Mustang, I will only be painting Mustangs. No additional Fusion paints will be released. Thank you!
