About this paint

After leaving Gold Leaf Team lotus at the end of 1969 Hill and despite passing his fortieth birthday Hill still did not feel ready to retire. With Jo Siffert moving to March, his seat in Rob Walker's team became free. Graham Hill took over driving R7 that had been updated to C spec. I am not sure how Hill qualified; as he crashed R7 and Miles was using R10 for qualifying. Perhaps as he had #1 and had won the 2 previous years, he got a free pass. However he started in 14th and with Miles failing to qualify in R10; Hill again drove the car in which he had won in, in 1968 and 1969, this time finishing 5th. There are plenty of clear pictures of R10 at Monaco, but not so many of R7; I have used small B&W pictures to work out what goes where from the known sponsors decals. I have again photoshopped (or rather Gimped) the number 1 on the front in picture 4 to match the shot of the real car, but otherwise WYSIWYG. This paint represents how I believe R7 was as used in practice. As with my Gold Leaf cars this paint comes with a custom spec map; the paintwork has a high gloss with the decals and other parts having a less polished finish. I have used the alpha channel to create the extra vents; I have had to move them back a bit and make small changes to the size and position of some of the decals to fit them around the car_mandatary number roundels. I have updated this paint to add the holes identified in the Adrian Newey repaint. I did not update the screenshots as the update is very hard to see on screenshots of the Rob Walker cars.
