About this Custom Number paint

Tom Peck spent four seasons behind the wheel of the number 96 Oldsmobiles for Thomas Racing going winless but running consistently enough to finish as high as fifth in the 1990 standings. For 1992, Peck switched to the number 19 Levin Racing team, also fielding Oldsmobiles for car owner Carol Levin. Peck backslid to 13th that first season with Levin, with sponsorship proving elusive. In 1993, the team picked up S-K Hand Tools and Delco Remy sponsorship for their Chevrolets, but again finished 13th in points. Wayne Grissom tapped Peck to take over the 31 Channellock ride for 1994 with his son, reigning Busch Series Champion, Steve Grissom moving to the Cup. Peck was out of a ride after eight races, as Diamond Ridge took over operation of the Grissom team and reinstalled Steve Grissom in the driver’s seat. This paint represents the unsponsored car that ran most of the 1992 season. The Grand National Legends project is a series of paints dedicated to the most significant Busch Series drivers and cars of the 1990s. Part 2 of the series covers the years 1990 through 1994.
