About this Custom Number paint

Mike Wallace entered the 1992 Busch Grand National series with a full-time ride in Dick Moroso’s Oldsmobiles. Results were hard to come by and twelve races into the season, Wallace was out. Wallace found a permanent ride in late 1992 with car owner Barry Owen, who hosted several drivers after the tragic loss of his primary driver, Clifford Allison, in a crash at Michigan. Wallace picked up FDP Brakes sponsorship for Martinsville and managed to lead 110 laps in the race en route to a second place finish. For 1993, FDP signed for a full season with Wallace, who placed 12th in the final standings. Wallace picked up a Winston Cup ride for 1994, but remained in the number 9 Chevrolets for most of a Busch Series campaign. Wallace picked up three wins in 1994, at Dover, Milwaukee, and IRP while Nathan Buttke filled in on occasion. This paint represents the 1994 car and includes a NEW 2023 spec map. The Grand National Legends project is a series of paints dedicated to the most significant Busch Series drivers and cars of the 1990s. Part 2 of the series covers the years 1990 through 1994.
