About this paint

A celebration of the three teams that brought every major race win over 55 years for the Ford GT40 and Ford GT. The overall paint scheme is from the first Ford GT40 win, taken by the #73 in the Continental 2000 km of Daytona in 1965 by Ken Miles and Lloyd Ruby. Shelby wins are clustered on the nose: 2 LeMans, 2 Sebrings and 2 Daytonas. The front end colors represent the colors of the winning paint schemes of the car that should have won Le Mans in 1966 and the one that was credited with the win. John Wyer Racing shows up on the doors, with the colors of the Gulf Racing cars that the team made famous with wins at: Le Mans (2), Monza, Spa, Brands Hatch, and Watkins Glen. The Ganassi colors get the rear fenders, with the many wins by that team represented. Each winning track is shown once on the rear of the car, though they had many tracks where they won multiple times. Number plate from the last Le Mans win, June of 2016.
