About this Custom Number paint

Robert Pressley and the Alliance team were one of the strongest pairs of the early 1990s Grand National Series. Pressley’s stock was on the rise following a surprise win at Orange County Speedway in 1989 driving for NBA legend Brad Daugherty. Alliance Training Centers took over the team for 1990 and took on the full schedule. Though Pressley went winless, he ran well and finished 12th in points with nine top tens. The team stuck together for 1991 and fortunes improved. Pressley grabbed another win at Orange County, and finished in the top ten 15 times en route to placing second in the final standings. For 1992, the team won five races, but slipped to fifth in the standings. Pressley put in a strong 1993, winning three times, and was named to replace retiring Harry Gant in Winston Cup following the 1994 season. This didn’t sit well with the Alliance team, who fired Pressley immediately and put Dennis Setzer in the car. Pressley struggled in temporary rides while awaiting his position in the Cup Series. This paint represents the car as it appeared in 1991. This car always ran with gold wheels. Use “Brushed” finish with color code #A2915B. This car includes a NEW 2023 spec map. The Grand National Legends project is a series of paints dedicated to the most significant Busch Series drivers and cars of the 1990s. Part 2 of the series covers the years 1990 through 1994.
