About this paint

In 1972, Imperial Tobacco who sponsored Team Lotus, introduced a new brand of cancer sticks; JPS, consequently the Gold Leaf Lotus 72 became the John Player Special. This sponsorship was carried over to the 76, 77, 78 and the 79. This repaint is representative of what could have been had Lotus carried on with the Gold Leaf colours. It is based on the post 1970 livery. As with my Gold Leaf Lotus 49, this paint comes with a custom spec map; the paintwork has a high gloss with the metallic gold trim, and the decals have a less polished finish. The new 'Blue Channel Clearcoat' now uses white for a matt finish clearcoat. So I have edited it to put it back to high gloss for the red and white and a gloss clearcoat on the metallics. I have also edited the red and green channels in the spec map, and metallic paintwork and decals to match. The bottom screenshot shows the new effects.
