About this Custom Number paint

Trevor Bayne - 2011 Daytona 500 - 75 Years: The Moments Trevor Bayne entered the 2011 Daytona 500 with just one previous start to his credit. Bayne, a Roush Racing development driver, had shown promise in the 2010 Nationwide series, but had flown mostly under the radar. Though the deal was initially one to get the young driver some cup experience as he moved up the ladder, it quickly became apparent that the Wood Brothers had prepared what may have been the fastest car on the track for Speedweeks 2011. When the car was damaged in a last-lap crash in his qualifying race, many wrote off the young Tennesseean. But the Wood Brothers team worked hard to restore the 21 Motorcraft Ford, and by Sunday, the car appeared faster than ever. As tandem drafting came into play during the race, Bayne worked with Jeff Gordon and others to push to the front. Bayne sat behind leader David Ragan on a late-race restart, but Ragan received a black flag for a lane violation, placing Bayne in P1. At the finish, Bayne held off a hard charging Carl Edwards to score his maiden victory in just his second race becoming the youngest ever Daytona 500 winner in the process, having just turned 20, cementing his place in racing history. The 75 Years project is a series of paints dedicated to the history of NASCAR racing. Follow me for updates: twitter.com/iam27paul
