About this Custom Number paint

Back in 1995 the then called "Winston Select" was on the horizon and the reigning and newly crowned 7-time champion, Dale Earnhardt Sr. and car owner Richard Childress had a secret reveal up their sleeve. During a ceremony to celebrate R.J. Reynolds 25th anniversary in NASCAR, Dale and Richard drove through a GM Goodwrench banner on pit road at Charlotte Motor Speedway to reveal a stunning silver and red paint scheme, which in turn sent shockwaves through the garage. The car "Quicksilver" was one of the biggest news stories of the season and contributed to the rise of the diecast business. During the race, Dale ran well up until the final segment where he tangled with Darrell Waltrip and allowed Jeff Gordon to go on and win the event. Custom Number requests can be commissioned.
